Ngenwi Deborah McCormick

Ms McCormick holds Bachelor of Arts, Lehman College, City University of New York (CUNY), Bronx, NY.  She is dynamic, energetic, and a highly experienced residential and commercial properties manager. She is a dedicated leader, mentor, and coordinator with a track record of steering improvement projects, building and optimizing internal operations and support staff.  She worked as Facilities Housing Supervisor (over 330 residences) with the Department of State, Nairobi, Kenya.  Ms. McCormick also worked with the Department of State, General Services Office (GSO) Yaounde, Cameroon.  She worked at the United Nations International Criminal Tribunal for Rwanda (UNICTR) Arusha, Tanzania in Human Resources and Witnesses and Victims Support Section; United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) New York in Personnel on the recruitment and administration of Junior Professional Officer (JPO); United Nations Development Program (UNDP) New York; and United Nations Transitional Authority in Cambodia (UNTAC) Kampong Thom, Cambodia.

 

Ms. McCormick volunteered at the Howard Area Community Center (HACC) Chicago, IL.  The center supports early childhood, adult education programs and food pantry.  During her volunteering with HACC Ms. McCormick was chairperson for their annual fundraising sub-committee. She also volunteered at Beautiful Gate Orphanage, Maseru, Lesotho, an orphanage that houses mostly HIV positive children. Many of these children have lost both parents to HIV or are left by HIV positive single mothers.  She cared for and nurtured babies from birth to age 10 who needed daily feeding and stimulation.  Ms. McCormick was a PTA Volunteer at Decatur Classical School Chicago, IL for 5 years and PTA of the American International School of Lesotho (AISL) for 2 years.

 

Additionally, Ms. McCormick has trained in a variety of capacities throughout her professional career: Contract Administration (2017), Commercial Acquisitions, Foreign Service Institute, Classroom-Nairobi (2017); Foreign Affairs Counter-Threat Training, Diplomatic Security (2016); Contracting Officer’s Representative (2016), Real Property Management, Foreign Service Institute (2015); Customer Service Representative Training (2015), Post Security and Safety Training Workshop, Nairobi, Kenya (2015-2018); Management Development Program for Personnel Staff of the UNICTR, Eastern and Southern African Management Institute Arusha, Tanzania (1999); General Service Orientation and Training Workshop, UNFPA, New York (1996); Management Skills Training Program, Princeton, NJ sponsored by UNDP (1991); trained stenographer and holder of the Royal Social of Arts (RSA) certificates in Typewriting and Shorthand, Stages I (Elementary) II (Intermediate) & III (Advanced) with Distinctions in all.

 

She has 5 meritorious honor awards, 2 Franklin awards from the Department of State, U.S. Embassies Kenya and Cameroon and certificates of appreciation from the U.S. Embassy, Kenya.

 

Ms. McCormick is President/Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Mbelewa Nkwen Community Projects Inc (Cameroon).  She will be responsible for the overall functioning of projects, interviewing and appointing new members to the Board of Directors and updating Advisers and Directors of activities of the Corporation.
