Melvis Nchang Memeh
Melvis is an experienced Registered Nurse and works as a public health nurse for Los Angeles County Department of Public Health in California. She is also a board-certified Nurse Practitioner, with speciality in psychiatric mental health. Working as a public health nurse in one of the most populated and multicultural counties in the nation, Melvis fully understands that social determinants of health have a major impact on people’s health, well-being and quality of life.
Melvis is an active member the Nkwen Cultural and Development Association (NCDA), California branch, and serves as a member of the executive body whose purpose is to foster the socio-economic growth and development of the Nkwen village through projects that address social, economic, health and educational challenges.
She earned a bachelor’s degree in nursing from California State University, Dominguez Hills, and a master’s in nursing specializing as a psychiatric mental health nurse from National University.
Her role in Mbelewa Nkwen Community Projects will be public relations and health education before, during and after the construction and maintenance of projects. She reports directly to the Founder and CEO.
